Meet Michelle Brenzel

Michelle is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She has experience working with individuals struggling with low mood, anxiety, familial and peer relationship difficulties, emotion regulation struggles, and major life transitions. Michelle practices from a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens, and her goal is to ensure that clients feel supported, safe, and heard throughout the process of therapy. Michelle works together with her clients and their families to shape their goals, strengthen their relationships, and develop new skills to overcome any challenges or difficult situations.

What Michelle Offers

Michelle’s clinical approach is collaborative with youth and their families. She works with families to identify each youth’s strengths and abilities, and uses those strengths to build self-confidence, self-compassion, and resilience. Michelle specializes in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to target and change unhelpful thought patterns as well as unwanted behaviours. Michelle’s approach also integrates Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-based practices and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).

"Owning our story can be hard, but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it.”

         - Brene Brown
