Parent Counselling
Supporting kids means supporting the people who love them most
Parenting a child or teen who is struggling can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re trying your best but nothing seems to work. Parent counselling provides you with guidance, emotional support, and practical strategies to help your child thrive.
Using Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Mindful parenting and other evidence-based approaches, we empower caregivers to become their child’s most important resource. Together, we focus on strengthening the parent–child relationship, reducing conflict, and improving communication. We help you learn skills to support your child through big feelings, while also addressing the worry, stress, or guilt that often comes with parenting challenges.
Our goal is to help you feel more confident and connected—so your family can move forward with greater resilience, understanding, and harmony.
Parent Involvement in Child & Teen Therapy
When a child or teen is working through emotional, behavioural, or school-related challenges, parents play a vital role in supporting lasting change. We actively involve caregivers throughout the therapy process—because progress doesn’t only happen in the session, it happens at home, school, and in everyday moments.
Parent involvement may include brief check-ins, collaborative goal-setting, learning practical strategies, and supporting emotional expression using evidence-based tools. By working together, we create a cohesive support system that empowers children and teens to build confidence, develop coping skills, and reach their full potential—while helping families grow stronger as a whole.
